Resolutions
The AFT passes resolutions on a wide range of issues that affect members in our different membership constituencies and that address other national and international issues of importance to the union and to our vision for the country. Most are passed at the union's biennial convention, but the AFT executive council also adopts resolutions.
At times, a newer resolution, or portion of a resolution, may have superseded an earlier resolution on the same subject. As a result, with the exception of resolutions adopted at the 2020 AFT convention, resolutions do not necessarily reflect current AFT policies.
