Immigration ICE raids: End the detention and deportation of students and families
“As educators, we believe every school should be a safe haven where children can dream, learn and thrive. No child should live in fear of being separated from their family. Targeting children and families through detention and deportation is cruel and unjust. Immigration enforcement actions in or around schools are an affront to the work we do as educators. They erode the trust we have worked hard to build with our students and their families. As educators, we have a responsibility to the kids we teach. Schools must remain places of safety, not fear. We call for an end to student detentions and deportations and family separations. Keep families together—protect our students.”
