AFT Resolution

REVOCATION OF CHICAGO PRINCIPALS ASSOCIATION CHARTER

WHEREAS, the Chicago Principals Association was granted a charter by the AFL-CIO; and

WHEREAS, the leadership of the Chicago Principals Association failed to cooperate with all other AFL-CIO affiliates in supporting the strike of the Chicago Teachers Union, Local 1, AFT from September 3 to September 18, 1975; and

WHEREAS, the Chicago Principals Association has never supported a strike by any affiliate of the AFLCIO bargaining for its employees with the Chicago Board of Education:

RESOLVED, that the AFT will ask the AFL-CIO Executive Council to review the actions of the Chicago Principals Association and consider revocation of its charter.
