RESUBMISSION OF EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT

WHEREAS, the Equal Rights Amendment was not ratified by the June 30, 1982, deadline; and

WHEREAS, an overwhelming majority of U.S. voters support the ERA:

RESOLVED, that the ERA be submitted to Congress for passage, and that this legislation shall not have a deadline date; and

RESOLVED, that AFT establish a liaison network which will include participation of interested members from each local to work for ratification.
