RESOLUTION ON CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PLAN

RESOLVED, that the American Federation of Teachers be authorized to establish a child care assistance plan for employees under the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code Section 129, as added by Section 124 (e) of the 1981 Economic Recovery Tax Act.

Such a plan would be for eligible employee dependent care payments made to a third party. Such a plan shall not be funded, as is allowed under the provision of Section 129 (d) (4). (Executive Council)
