AFT Resolution

RECIPROCITY AMONG RETIREE CHAPTERS

WHEREAS, 20 percent of AFT retirees move to a different locale on retirement; and

WHEREAS, these AFT retirees sometimes live far from their former colleagues; and

WHEREAS, these AFT retirees still feel a need to mingle with other retired AFT members:

RESOLVED, that AFT locals be encouraged to practice reciprocity by making it possible for AFT retirees new to an area to participate in the activities of the retiree chapter of the local in that jurisdiction.
