RALLY IN FRONT OF SOUTH AFRICAN CONSULATE

WHEREAS, the American Federation of Teachers is opposed to racist apartheid policies and supports resto­ration of full democratic rights for the black majority in South Africa:

RESOLVED, that this convention hold a rally on Sunday, July 6, 1986, from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the South African consulate in Chicago to demonstrate publicly our opposition to the racist apartheid system in South Africa and give our support to our struggling brothers and sisters in that nation.
