PUBLIC RELATIONS

WHEREAS, public opinion of teachers is at an all-time low; and

WHEREAS, teachers and the entire field of education bear the brunt of public complaints against rising taxes; and

WHEREAS, teachers are often blamed for the ills of society; and

WHEREAS, public opinion can be changed with the proper use of the media:

RESOLVED, that the AFT executive council further engage in nationwide campaigns to improve the image of teachers.
