PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RIGHT TO STRIKE

WHEREAS, collective bargaining cannot be effective without the right of employees to withhold their services:

RESOLVED, that the American Federation of Teachers encourage and assist all affiliated locals and state federations in securing the support of their respective state AFL-ClOs for a campaign to obtain the passage of state laws recognizing the right of public employees to strike.
