AFT Resolution

PROBATIONARY TEACHER RIGHTS

WHEREAS, the AFT has long been committed to upholding the principle of due process for all citizens; and

WHEREAS, probationary teachers have been subjected to arbitrary denial of due process:

RESOLVED, that the AFT takes note of the fact that probationary teachers are denied full review on substance and that the AFT favors the extension of the rights of full due process for teachers on probationary status.
