AFT Resolution

PENSION PORTABILITY

WHEREAS, in our mobile society it is frequently necessary for school employees to change their state of residence; and

WHEREAS, many states already permit purchase of credit of service in other states:

RESOLVED, that the AFT lobby actively in the National Congress for pension portability; and

RESOLVED, that the AFT lobby in Congress for full social security portability.
