MERGER WITH THE NEA

In view of the great national crisis confronting education with the efforts of the federal government to completely get out of education and the threat of tuition tax credits, the AFT reiterates the view that national teacher unity would be very desirable and urges that talks or negotiations leading to such a merger should take place.
