AFT Resolution

INCOME AND JOBS ACTION ACT OF 1985

WHEREAS, the AFL-CIO endorses H.R. 1398, known as the Income and Jobs Action Act of 1985, a bill to promote genuine and sustainable recovery and a full employment society by extending and fully implementing the Employment Act of 1946 and the Full Employment and Balanced Growth Act of 1978, seeking to implement the right to earn a living and the right to an adequate standard of living of Americans unable to work for pay; and

WHEREAS, the AFT is fully in accord with this bill:

RESOLVED, that the AFT endorse H.R. 1398; and

RESOLVED, that the AFT urge all its affiliates to organize the involvement of their members in sustained and thorough political action to convince all members of Congress to support this bill.
