FREEDOM FROM CLERICAL DUTIES

WHEREAS, teachers in many school districts are burdened with excessive clerical duties and recognizing that some of these duties must be per- formed by the teachers themselves; and

WHEREAS, many of these duties must be performed in a short period before the closing of school:

RESOLVED, that teachers be relieved of those clerical duties not pertinent to the teaching process; and

RESOLVED, that teachers be provided with ample time free from classroom responsibilities for the performance of those activities that must be performed by the teachers themselves.
