AFT Resolution

FEDERAL INCOME TAX SCHEDULE FOR MARRIED WORKERS

WHEREAS, two married workers, whether filing joint or separate returns pay higher taxes than they would if they were not married:

RESOLVED, that the AFT encourage and support Congressional Action giving working couples the option of filing under the more favorable singles rate schedule.
