FEDERAL INCOME TAX EXEMPTION

WHEREAS, the $600 exemption in the federal income tax has long been unrealistic and most unfair to people of low incomes:

RESOLVED, that this Convention advocate the replacement of the figure $600 by the figure $1500 whenever it appears in the federal income tax return forms, and call upon Congress and the President for the preparation and enactment of legislation to this effect.
