AFT Resolution

END ANTI-UNION TRAVEL PLAN

WHEREAS, there has been a proliferation of anti-union air carriers and many of these are "run-away shop" lines seeking to avoid the requirements of freely established collective bargaining agreements; and

WHEREAS, AFT and some of the affiliates offer travel programs to their members that may contain provisions for the use of such carriers; and

WHEREAS, the members of one union should not be encouraged to use their economic resources to destroy the livelihood of another union:

RESOLVED, that AFT shall not promote or endorse travel programs that make use of anti-union air carriers and "run-away shop" airlines, and that AFT call upon all of its affiliates to adopt a similar policy.
