AFT Resolution

ELIMINATION OF SEXIST CONTRACT LANGUAGE

WHEREAS, there has been established a relationship between the use of sexist language and sexist behavior; and

WHEREAS, the AFT is dedicated to the elimination of all forms of discrimination:

RESOLVED, that all locals of the AFT be encouraged to search their contracts for the purpose of eliminating during negotiations all words which are sexist in nature by using no word involving sex or by using dual words including both sexes.
