AFT Resolution

EDUCATIONAL CONDITIONS

WHEREAS, the problems of inflation and recession have placed a great financial burden on many communities; and

WHEREAS, school districts have had increasing difficulties in obtaining adequate revenues; and

WHEREAS, school districts have made drastic cuts in auxiliary services (counselors, nurse-teachers, attendance teachers, etc.) as well as making sharp cuts in academic requirements:

RESOLVED, that the AFT support the establishment of minimum educational conditions which would prevent the erosion of educational standards and services.
