CONTINUED SUPPORT OF THE UNITED FARM WORKERS

WHEREAS, the United Farm Workers union is engaged in a struggle to organize the farm workers of the United States and maintain the integrity of their existing contracts; and

WHEREAS, the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations has pledged its support in these efforts:

RESOLVED, that the American Federation of Teachers and its member locals encourage increased participation in support of United Farm Workers union educational, political, and fund raising programs; and

RESOLVED, that the American Federation of Teachers and its member locals publicize activities of the United Farm Workers union in their local publications.
