AFT Resolution

COMMISSION ON CIVIL DISORDERS

WHEREAS, the President's Commission on Civil Disorders presented a comprehensive report on conditions in America that breed despair and violence; and

WHEREAS, the continued existence of these conditions imperils the fabric of American life:

RESOLVED, that the AFT urge the Administration, the Congress, state and local governments to take immediate steps to alleviate the problems attendant upon poverty in our nation.
