COALITION OF BLACK TRADE UNIONISTS

WHEREAS, the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists has increased its membership base within the AFL-CIO affiliated unions; and

WHEREAS, the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists has worked in coalitions with other AFL-CIO support groups¾most recently with the A. Philip Randolph Institute in the Louisiana gubernatorial race; and

WHEREAS, a growing number of AFT members are members and officers of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists:

RESOLVED, that the American Federation of Teachers support the A. Philip Randolph Institute and the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists.
