CHANGE FUNDING SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM

WHEREAS, the new Social Security legislation places a large burden on both employer and employee, and

WHEREAS, many foreign governments fund their Social Security systems at least partially from general revenue sources; and

WHEREAS, the Social Security law has been amended and changed to include benefits beyond the scope of the original law:

RESOLVED, that the AFT lobby in Washington to change the structure of the current social security law to provide funding from the general revenue.
