ANTI-INJUNCTIONS

WHEREAS, members of the American Federation of Teachers have been harassed by the use of the invidious court injunction; and

WHEREAS, fines have been imposed upon local unions and members suffered jail sentences; and

WHEREAS, court injunctions deny the democratic use of collective bargaining:

RESOLVED, that the American Federation of Teachers through its state federations and assisted by their affiliated locals seek introduction and passage of laws which outlaw the use of injunctions in public employee union management disputes.
