AGAINST LOWERING YOUTH MINIMUM WAGE

WHEREAS, the economy of the United States in 1983 is in a depressed state; and

WHEREAS, youth, and particularly minority youth, are among the highest group of the unemployed:

RESOLVED, that the AFT opposes any effort to lower the minimum wage for youth or adults. (Executive Council)
