AFT CONVENTION SITES

WHEREAS, the selection of a convention site by the American Federation of Teachers has economic and other effects on the locality chosen and the surrounding area:

RESOLVED, that in the selection of a convention site by the American Federation of Teachers the following considerations be taken into account:

  • The convenience, barrier-free design and costs involved for delegates to the convention.
  • The impact on labor and the labor movement in the state and locality.
  • The convenience of handicapped persons be taken into consideration.
