AFT Resolution

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION

WHEREAS, the AFT has regularly championed the rights of minorities to equal access to employment; and

WHEREAS, the AFT employs numerous individuals as field representatives, management, clerical and technical positions; and

WHEREAS, employment opportunities at the AFT currently are posted as required by the staff contract and are sent to the AFT executive council, AFT national representatives and AFT administrative staff:

RESOLVED, that the American Federation of Teachers seek the assistance of AFT locals and state federations to secure applications for available jobs as field representatives or headquarters staff. (Executive Council)
