Call to Action: Real Solutions for Higher Education

The AFT’s multiyear Real Solutions for Higher Education campaign is centered on fundamental strategies for strengthening our institutions of higher education. We aim to ensure that every student has access to an affordable college education and that our colleges and universities are sites of knowledge creation and innovation as well as drivers of individual success and regional economic prosperity. We will achieve this by advocating for increased state and federal investment in higher education, fighting for real job security for adjunct and contingent academic workers, and defending academic freedom and campus free speech so that our campuses remain places of robust debate and freedom of expression.
