The following organizations have pledged to work in collaboration with AFT and other stakeholders to mount a community response to the community issue of bullying. Additional resources and materials on bullying may be found on their websites.
The "Stop Bullying: Speak Up" campaign encourages the bystander to ‘speak up’ when they see bulling by getting an adult. GLSEN
GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, is the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe schools for all students. GLSEN works with educators, policy makers, community leaders and students on the urgent need to address anti-LGBT behavior and bias in schools. Through research-based interventions, GLSEN provides resources and support for schools to implement effective and age-appropriate anti-bullying programs to improve school climate for all students. www.glsen.org
Not In Our School
Across the country, students and teachers are joining to create schools that are free from bullying and intolerance. They're part of a movement called Not In Our School. The NIOS videos, activities and lesson plans showcase the immense capacity of young people who are creating new ways to make their schools safe for everyone.

PACER
AFT is a partner of PACER's National Bullying Prevention Month.
