OPPOSE ANY ATTEMPTS TO DIMINISH THE HEALTH REFORM ACT

WHEREAS, controversy continues to exist on the health reform act adopted by Congress and signed into law by President Obama in March 2010; and

WHEREAS, some in the political campaign for election this year claim, if elected, they will introduce legislation to overturn the health reform act; and

WHEREAS, the overwhelming majority of Americans benefit from the passage and enactment of the health reform act:

RESOLVED, that the American Federation of Teachers will oppose any attempt to diminish benefits of the health reform act passed in 2010.
