AFT Resolution
THE UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD
WHEREAS, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on Nov. 20, 1989, is a document of great value in the advancement of the interests of all children throughout the world and therefore in the interests of all people:
RESOLVED, that this convention endorse the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child; and
RESOLVED, that this convention direct the AFT executive council to submit a similar resolution to the 1991 AFL-CIO convention.
