AFT Resolution

TRAVEL FREEDOM

WHEREAS, the AFT supports the freest possible international movement of scholars and ideas and favors the expansion of cultural exchange programs with all other countries:

RESOLVED, that the AFT urges the importance of protection for visiting scholars by all countries and of freedom from restrictions by passport and visa-granting authorities on scholars whose research requires them to travel abroad and opposes any infringement of academic freedom by unwarranted surveillance of such scholars.
