AFT Resolution

ORGANIZING THE UNORGANIZED

WHEREAS, most workers in the United States are still outside the organized labor movement; and

WHEREAS, the present condition is a constant threat to organized labor's ability to maintain its gains and improve its position:

RESOLVED, that the Convention call upon the AFLCIO Executive Council and upon the AFL-CIO Convention to undertake a great campaign to more vigorously prosecute efforts to organize all the unorganized workers in the United States, to bring collective bargaining to every worker, and make the labor movement an invincible force for democracy and progress in all aspects of our nation's life.
