AFT Resolution

LABOR UNITY

WHEREAS, the basic strength of labor lies in its unity; and

WHEREAS, the divisions that beset the labor movement can only bring joy to the enemies of democracy and progress in our country:

RESOLVED, that this Convention call upon the AFT Executive Council to seek out avenues of communication among all bona fide labor unions including those not now in the AFL-CIO for the purpose of finding ways to close ranks and finally create a united labor movement in the United States.
