AFT Resolution

CONDITION OF THE TEACHING PERSONNEL

WHEREAS, a resolution entitled, "Recommendations Concerning the Status of Teachers," was adopted by the International Labor Organization (ILO) and by the special Intergovernmental Conference of UNESCO; and

WHEREAS, the general principles and labor standards have not been enacted by the various governments:

RESOLVED, that the American Federation of Teachers support the International Federation of Free Teacher Unions (IFFTU) in its efforts to urge that all countries recognize and safeguard union teacher rights.
