AFT Resolution

SUPPORT OF FAIR WAGES FOR STATE EMPLOYEES

WHEREAS, state employees make a valuable contribution to the health and welfare of all citizens; and

WHEREAS, state employees' salaries, on average, have lagged behind private sector salaries by an average of 15 percent:

RESOLVED, that the AFT consider a priority to be the allocation of fair wages to state employees and the protection of wages and other benefits.
