REPRESSION

WHEREAS, two black students at Jackson and four white students at Kent State have been gunned down; and

WHEREAS, teachers across the country are being sent to jail, including the President of the American Federation of Teachers, as a result of strike action; and

WHEREAS, six black citizens were gunned down in Augusta, Georgia; and

WHEREAS, a definite pattern of repression against students, the black community, workers and other voices of dissent is growing in this nation:

RESOLVED, that this organization condemn the current campaign of harassment directed against students and political dissenters.
