AFT Resolution

RELOCATION OF UNITED STATES OVERSEAS CORPORATIONS

WHEREAS, all men are by nature free and independent and have inalienable rights which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; and

WHEREAS, because massive unemployment in many communities of the United States prevents the attainment of the above for many of its citizens; and

WHEREAS, the policy of encouraging U.S. corporations to locate abroad through tax incentives has fostered high unemployment in the U.S.:

RESOLVED, that the AFT continue to support national legislation that would encourage U.S. owned corporations abroad to relocate in the U.S. to help remedy the unemployment within this country and discourage the further relocation of U.S. corporations abroad.
