AFT Resolution

TITLE IX

WHEREAS, the AFT has consistently supported Title IX in its goal of eliminating sex discrimination in federally funded education programs; and

WHEREAS, opponents of equality for women proposed to exempt men's revenue producing sports from the sex discrimination provisions of Title IX in athletics:

RESOLVED, that the AFT oppose any weakening amendments to Title IX.
