AFT Resolution
SUPPORT FOR PATCHOGUE-MEDFORD CONGRESS OF TEACHERS
WHEREAS, AFT is committed to providing all possible assistance to locals affected by attacks on rights protected under the Constitution of the United States of America and its amendments; and
WHEREAS, the Patchogue-Medford Congress of Teachers, a member local of AFT, is currently involved in a precedent, setting costly legal action to combat an attack on member rights protected under the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments to the Constitution:
RESOLVED, that the AFT executive council give serious consideration to providing financial assistance to the Patchogue-Medford Congress of Teachers to offset expenses incurred in that local's battle against the capricious and unconstitutional drug testing of its members.
