AFT Resolution

LEGISLATION FOR SCHOOL SUPPORT PERSONNEL

WHEREAS, the American Federation of Teachers has organized and continues to organize school and education support personnel; and

WHEREAS, many members of this work force are not tenured employees; and

WHEREAS, at present there are no mandatory laws for several school support personnel group employees:

RESOLVED, that the American Federation of Teachers will support provisions which deal with the hiring and retention of education support employees through the collective bargaining process. (Executive Council)
