Health Hub: AFT Healthcare
While much of the information in the E-Learning Health and Safety Resource Community applies to all AFT members, this page provides information specific for healthcare settings for AFT Nurses and Health Professionals. Healthcare workers face multiple occupational hazards on a daily basis, including infectious disease, workplace violence and bullying, stress, fatigue, exposure to hazardous drugs and chemicals, and injuries from lifting and transferring patients. More resources on these and other hazards will be added regularly. Contact Sara Markle-Elder at smarkle@aft.org for more information on hazards in healthcare.
