COVID-19: Information and resources for public employees

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, government employees are working tirelessly to maintain our civil service and support our society. During this time, the AFT is working to help our members and the people we serve as well as stay in contact with AFT leaders. Nationally, the country is fighting three distinct crises: COVID-19, the pending economic recession, and racial justice after the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.  Public workers are crucial in each of these crises.

Although many public employees continue to work remotely, more than half have remained on the job site as essential personnel. We must be diligent to ensure safety at all costs and maintain our solidarity.  These are challenging times, but our union is up for the battle.
