In America, we have freedom of religion. That means you can practice your religion. It DOESN'T mean you can impose your religious beliefs on others. We need a separation of church and state. This is what makes America great. Without a separation, we would have the problems of areas like the Middle East, where religious groups fight and kill people from the opposing group in order to run the government!!!!! Why don't you see this?

Why don't politicians aggregate the data when assessing public school systems by socio-economic status? Why do some public school systems attain tremendous results, but remain grouped in with districts that are failing? How can the public school model be considered a failing model, when many public schools are obtaining tremendous educational/academic results? Thank You!!!

I understand you all want lower tax and smaller government but why not explain to the American Public that will mean Higher Taxes at the State Level to make up for all of that lost revenue from the Federal Government? If you live in a poor state your kids will have less money for education and get used to potholes and crumbling bridges...What is your response to this issue?

Mr. Republican presidential candidate, "At or before the end of your first term, would the unemployment rate be no greater than it was when President George W. Bush left office?"

When Ron Paul was asked a question about a person without health care who had a serious illness, his answer was basically "too bad for him". I would like to ask the rest of the field if they would agree that hospitals could refuse treatment to non-insured people as Paul suggests. If not, how would they have these hospital costs covered if people didn't have to be insured since they are so against universal insurance. Would they push the cost off on those of us who are insured?

What is your opinion on the need for high quality preschool for young children?

I wouldn't ask any of them anything because either they would say something untrue to get my vote or I wouldn't like the answer.

I am a school teacher in Texas. If I worked in any other profession or none at all I would be eligible to claim Social Security on my record or on my husband of 18 years. But Texas school teachers have their SS offset. What will you do to make this equitable?

QUESTION: Would you force members of congress to reveal how much money they receive in all forms from big oil? It seems to me these companies are raping the American public. They cite bogus reasons to raise prices and then declare record quarterly profits. In the meantime, consumers feel the pinch not only when they fill up their gas tank or home heating oil tank, but when they go to the supermarket to purchase items that have to be trucked in to stores. Someone has got to take a stand against these companies who have been ri[pping off Americans since Hurricane Katrina.

How will you strengthen public education's role in fulfilling the promise of a good education for each child in this country?

Do you think Private Charter School corporations have the right to come in and reorganize and run failing (F) public schools?

Since you say that you represent a political party that desires less government control and less government, do you really mean less Federal government and more State government control over issues of public education and women's health care, is that kind of a "bait and switch" tactic or is it really misinformation that most Americans receive from your party's platform?

I worked at a hospital and paid into social security. I now work at a school district and pay into TRS. If I retire from the school district I will only get a percentage of my social security benefit. Will you fix this so that people who have paid into both can get the full benefit they are entitled to?

Why do you claim to be the best candidate to create jobs in America when in the same breath you say that you will drastically cut government spending? Do you understand that means actually cutting jobs. Isn't that hypocritical?

I have heard so many answers to the question of how you plan to improve the economy, but none has provided specifics that actually help close the deficit. Would you please answer seriously the question of what you would be willing to cut in order to keep taxes low AND reduce the deficit?

Would you abolish the Department of Education?

If republicans are successful in stopping the affordable care act,what is the solution that you propose.The nation is headed for bankruptcy of all hospital systems.Maybe when business is threatned we can find a republican solution.

Will you offer access to training programs and demand that anyone without a medical exemption who is receiving welfare checks, food stamps, or who has been drawing unemployment benefits for longer than 6 months enroll in these programs in order to continue receiving benefits?
