Higher Education: Should President Obama’s policy of maintaining the Pell Grant maximum be the a priority, especially during these tough economic times?

The Pell Grant has not kept up with the increasing costs of getting an education. Any reduction in funding would be a disaster for students trying to get an education and achieve economic self-sufficiency.

Definitely yes! The Pell Grant is an absolute necessity to ensure that the doors of education are open to those who most need it. If we don't provide this support, countless students of socioeconomically less privileged backgrounds will be shut out of college.
