Guidelines for Comments and Content

AFT Voices was established by the AFT as a forum where union members and the general public can exchange information and express their opinions on working family issues. AFT expects that there will be a lively and spirited debate and AFT will not censor comments based on political or ideological point of view. AFT Voices pre-moderates comments and reserves the right to delete comments that are abusive, use excessive foul language, or are not related to the purpose of this site.

In order to avoid having your comment rejected or deleted, you should not submit comments that:

  • are abusive, off-topic, use excessive foul language
  • include ad hominem attacks including comments that advocate the death or illness of any person, public figure or otherwise
  • contain racist, sexist, homophobic and other slurs
  • are solicitations and/or advertising for commercial purposes, personal blogs or websites
  • contains content that may infringe the copyright or intellectual property rights of others or other applicable laws or regulations.
