American Educator is a quarterly journal for K–12 educators and higher education faculty. While its main focus is research and ideas on school improvement, it also addresses civics, democracy and children's well-being.

The U.S. education market is the largest industry in the world. The AFT represents K–12 members nationwide, including 9 of the 10 largest school districts. We have a substantial presence in many of the largest 100 school districts.
