National and State Education Leaders Mourn Loss of Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones

WASHINGTON, D.C.—“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of U.S. Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, who died this week after a life of accomplishing so much for others. America’s poor have lost a champion; Ohio has lost a great leader; and the education community has lost a dear friend. Her long career of public service stands as a model for others to follow, and her devotion to improving the lives of children and the schools they attend will never be forgotten. We are grateful to have known her, and will move forward with her example in our hearts.”
