Updated information on the novel H1N1 Flu Virus
As the nation braces for a predicted surge in cases of novel H1N1 flu this fall, healthcare workers have many questions. Is my facility prepared to meet the challenge? If I become sick, what should I do? Can my employer require me to be vaccinated? Are there contract protections our local should consider negotiating? AFT Healthcare will be devoting a special section of our website to information on novel H1N1 which will be updated on a regular basis. We've also just updated our FAQ about H1N1. Thousands Swarm Capitol To Call For Healthcare Reform
More than 1,100 AFT members contacted their U.S. senators on June 25, urging them to support the passage of comprehensive healthcare reform. In Washington, D.C., AFT members were among the 10,000 people who gathered at the U.S. Capitol to call for healthcare reform.
