On Worthy Wage Day, First Class Teachers told Congress that early childhood educators shouldn't work for peanuts!

 We start the day by meeting at
AFT headquarters in Washington.

Then walk over to Capitol Hill for
the meetings.

We wait to get our peanuts into the Congressional offices.

peanuts

Here we are walking the halls of Congress.

peanuts

We meet with the Legislative
Directors of many offices.

peanuts

And ask them to give the petition and peanuts to our members of Congress.

peanuts

We deliver piles of peanuts when
we meet with the Education
Committee staff.

peanuts

We think they were "nuts"
about the idea.

It was a very successful afternoon.
